Our Goals

Center for Uyghur Studies (CFUS) aims to primarily examine the People’s Republic of China’s economic and political pressures on Muslim Uyghur, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and other societies in East Turkistan. In particular, it aims to shed light on China’s hegemonic activities in both Central Asian countries and other Islamic countries. Since Central Asia and the Islamic world are also the regions where East Turkistan people are densely located abroad, their situation will be examined. The “long-arm” activities of the PRC towards the people of East Turkistan in the aforementioned geography and Muslim states will be examined. CFUS, it is planned to evaluate the economic, social, and environmental effects of the projects that the Chinese government has realized or will carry out in Central Asia and Islamic countries.
